Daniel writes to tell us:
“Since completing the LL.M. programme at McGill University in the summer of 2017, I have been busy studying for the English Bar, in London, at the end of which I hope to be called to the Bar.
This new challenge and new location did not, however, prevent me returning to Canada briefly in November in order to attend my McGill graduation ceremony, and to reminisce all the while with my friends about our superb year in Montreal.
This coming October I will begin pupillage at a commercial set of barristers’ chambers, and I am very much looking forward to it.”
Rachel who was also at McGill in the same year writes:
“I am currently working as a policy analyst at WORLD Policy Analysis Center that works out of UCLA. The center aims to strengthen equal rights and opportunities by improving the quantity and quality of globally comparative data available to policymakers, researchers, civic society and citizens. My role at the center involves coding legislation and regulation on a variety of different issues, for all countries, to put together a comprehensive database that we can then share with the relevant parties.
We work under the leadership of Dr. Jody Heymann, Dean of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Dr Heymann previously held a Canada Research Chair in Global Health and Social Policy at McGill. The center used to be based out of McGill before moving to LA.
This position meant I relocated to LA last month and I am slowly getting used to the Montreal-LA climate difference!”
